People always ask me what my favorite place I've t People always ask me what my favorite place I've traveled to is. My list is long- my favorite country overall, my favorite place for the food, my favorite place for adventure...

My favorite place for a life-changing experience is Petra in Jordan.

Watching Indian of Jones as a kid, I became fascinated with The Treasury (pictured behind me). Especially knowing that it existed in real life and isn’t just a Hollywood set! Anyone else get disappointed by places on TV that aren't real?

When I started researching, I quickly discovered that this particular building is only 1% of all of Petra. There's SO much more to see!

Our time here consisted of drinking tea with the Bedouins (local people), learning about life from our 11-year-old tour guides (priceless), walking for days, hiking to the highest viewpoints, exploring caves, and befriending every puppy. What was supposed to be 1 day of our trip turned into 2 1/2.

We got a glimpse into a part of history that once felt worlds away and got to briefly disconnect from the modern world. Most other days of my life fail in comparison to how monumental this day felt.

What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
It’s OFFICIALLY been 1 year since the “two-wee It’s OFFICIALLY been 1 year since the “two-week” quarantine started. What a wild and unusual year it’s been, for all of us!

Just wanted to do a check-in and see how you’re all doing? Have you had time to reflect on what just happened?!

One thing I’m sure of, I’m ready to see my parents & START TRAVELING the world again! Both are in the works! What about you?!

This is Bosko Bubble Glamping in Guatapé, Colombia. It’s included on my list of most unique places to stay around the world! The location features 360-degree views of the lake (partially pictured in the photo) and Peñol Rock. The glamping bubbles called “mush rooms” are pretty luxurious; some have hot tubs! They even recently added sky pools to the property!

All of the places in the reel are incredible, I highly recommend them. ☺️

Comment below if I should add the outtakes in my stories for a good laugh.
A few thoughts on the Pyramids of Giza and how we A few thoughts on the Pyramids of Giza and how we shape our experiences. ✨✨

At times when traveling, I’ve found it difficult to stay in the moment, take the time to appreciate, and let it all sink in. (Anyone else relate?) Especially when I feel rushed or am being hassled endlessly by vendors, like what often happens here at the pyramids.

This was one of those days that there’s so much anticipation leading up to it. It feels like it should be larger than life. And if you’re like me, the gravity of it takes a while to process.

Not every place seems as grand in reality as what we have built up in our imaginations! Setting such high expectations has left me disappointed in the past. But when I’ve changed my mindset and with that my expectations, I’ve found I appreciate things so much more.

I made sure to take a long pause here on this day in Egypt. I sat in silence for a few moments to take in the magnitude of it all. I remember having so much gratitude being able to experience it with my own eyes. The last wonder of the Ancient World! The magic, the mystery, the history, and the amount of people that have walked this piece of the earth throughout the years!

People tend to discourage others from going places that they think are “overrated” or they had negative experiences. Heck, I’m even guilty of this at times. I tread lightly nowadays when it comes to discouraging anyone to not see something for themselves. We all make our own memories; we all react and internalize things differently.

I've heard many people say they found the pyramids disappointing. I’m thankful I decided to come up with my own opinion. ✨
Truthfully, Australia wasn’t on the top of my bu Truthfully, Australia wasn’t on the top of my bucket list of places to travel. I guess I assumed it would be too similar to the U.S., that I’d rather explore somewhere exotic and different.

Anyone else have similar thoughts?

I was so unexpectedly surprised and blown away by Australia! Turns out, there’s so much more than Sydney, Melbourne, and The Great Barrier Reef. My few weeks here barely scratched the surface of this amazing country.

Contrary to my belief that there isn’t a huge variety in the landscape (I just thought it was a huge outback); there’s tropical forests, grasslands, woodlands, snow-capped mountains, and some of the most pristine beaches you’ll ever lay eyes on (Just google “Whit Sundays”)!

Where have you traveled that completely took you by surprise?
Top 7 Reasons To Visit Cartagena! (Save this post Top 7 Reasons To Visit Cartagena!
(Save this post for my recommendations)

1. The History - It’s a Colonial-era port city with lots of history.

2. The Food - The best ceviche on earth (@restaurantealmaoficial & Anthony Bourdain’s fav @lacevicheriacartagena), fresh tropical fruits and lots of coconuts, fried plantains, and the infamous street food arepa de huevo. The food is amazing for every budget!

3. The Culture - The iconic palenquera women who wear colorful dresses and have bowls full of fruit they sell (but wear on their heads for photo ops). There's culture every direction you look!

4. The Prettiest Streets - The old city is so dreamy to walk around; colorful houses, cobblestone roads, bright colonial buildings, intricate doors, beautiful flowers, and lush greenery. Every corner you turn is a photo op! My two favorites areas for photography, Gestsemani & The San Diego neighborhood in the walled city.

5. The Beaches - Not only are there beautiful beaches on the Colombia Caribbean coast but the Rosario Islands are just an hour boat ride away. You can visit for a beach day or spend a few nights. I can't recommend @coralinaisland enough.

6. The music - There are so many varieties of music due to the mix of different cultures. And you will hear it all when the streets come alive once the sunsets! And of course, not to be missed are the salsa clubs.

7. The Coffee - Colombian coffee needs no introduction. That one is self-explanatory! But you must visit the coffee shop - @weare.epoca, we liked it so much went to two different locations in one day.
